mousesports have progressed to the grand final of the Acer Predator Masters finals after moving past E-frag.net 2-1 (16-7 on de_overpass, 11-16 on de_cache and 16-14 on de_dust2).
The Upper Bracket final of the German event brought together two teams who had performed incredibly well in the first two rounds of the tournament. mousesports did not even have to work hard to beat PENTA Sports and SK Gaming, while E-frag moved past Team SoloMid and dignitas in convincing fashion.
It was thus a big surprise to see mouz beat the Bulgarians fairly easy on de_overpass. Powered by a great individual performance from Timo "Spiidi" Richter, the German team had at one point an 11-1 lead, and they did not take long to seal a 16-7 victory despite a brief response from E-frag.
nex was the man of the match
de_cache was the map that followed, and even though it had been mouz's pick, it was E-frag who came out victorious following an impressive showing on the Terrorist side of the map, which allowed them to overturn their opponents' 8-7 half-time lead.
And that's when insanity began. Johannes "nex" Maget, who had earned rave reviews for his amazing ace against Na`Vi at the CEVO Finals, delivered a crazy solo performance that powered mouz to win the match in the final round, despite E-frag's attempts to overcome a 5-10 deficit. The German team are now through to the best-of-seven grand final, while E-frag.net will take on the winner of the series between dignitas and HellRaisers for the last place in the title decider.
